José Raul Capablanca (La Habana, 1888 - Nova York, 1942) foi um jogador de xadrez cubano, campeão mundial de 1921 a 1927. Capablanca aprendeu a jogar xadrez aos quatro anos de idade, observando a técnica de seu pai, e tornou-se uma lenda no mundo do xadrez.
